"Not the right learning style for me"
I wanted to give this a fair shot, but the overall setup just didn’t work well for me. The lessons felt dry, and I found myself going back over the same parts just to understand the basics. It ended up feeling more like I was clicking through pages than actually learning anything. To be fair, I can see how it might work for someone who likes that kind of format, but for me it was more frustrating than helpful, and I probably wouldn’t use it again.
"I was actually looking forward to..."
I was actually looking forward to getting through the lessons, but the site kept crashing on me over and over. I couldn’t finish my course at all, which was really frustrating. I thought about reaching out to customer service, but I didn’t have much faith they’d actually fix it or do anything helpful
"Support used to feel a bit more responsive"
I had to reach out to marinerslearningsystem.com support because I was having trouble logging in. They did get back to me and eventually helped, but it took longer than I expected. I feel like their support used to be a little quicker and smoother.
The person I talked to was polite, and they did fix the issue, so I can’t really complain too much. It was just a little frustrating having to explain the same problem more than once before it got sorted out.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, just kind of average. I’d still use them again, but I do hope their customer service gets back to how it used to be, especially when it comes to response time.

"Hard to navigate and felt carelessly put together"
I got frustrated using this course. The layout just wasn’t easy to get around, and every time I came back I had to waste time figuring out where I left off. Some sections felt like they were hidden or buried in random places. It also kind of felt like the course was handled carelessly, like nobody really checked whether it was easy for students to follow. I ended up clicking around more than actually studying, which got annoying fast. It really needs a cleaner, simpler setup
"Save your time if you need endorsement details"
I signed up because I thought this would help me figure out the license endorsement stuff I needed, but it didn’t go deep enough. Some of the basic license prep sections were fine, but once I got to the endorsement info, it felt light and I still had to search around on my own.
If you only need general prep, it might be okay, but if endorsements are the main reason you’re buying it, I’d save your time and look for something more thorough. It was frustrating to pay for it and still not get the answers I needed.

"Support was no help at all"
I waited forever for tech support to get back to me. And when they finally did, it was just the usual copy-paste response. Nothing that actually fixed my login problem. Ended up wasting my whole evening trying to figure it out myself...

"Fit perfectly around my schedule 😊"
I really liked that I could go at my own pace. I’d study after work when I had time and never felt rushed, which made it so much easier to stick with it and finish 🙌

"Practice tests were kind of a letdown"
I’m not sure if it was just me, but the practice tests really didn’t help much at all. I went in expecting them to be useful for getting prepared, but they ended up feeling disappointing

"Support felt slow and kind of copy-paste"
The course itself was fine overall, but getting help from the instructor support was frustrating. I had a couple of simple questions and it took days to hear back. When I finally got a response, it felt kind of copy-pasted and didn’t really answer what I was asking. It wasn’t the worst experience ever, but when you’re trying to keep moving through the course, that kind of delay gets annoying

"Didn’t feel like fair prep for the exam"
I really tried to give this a fair shot and spent a good amount of time studying the materials, but when I got to the exam, a lot of it didn’t line up with what I had practiced. I still felt unprepared, which was frustrating after putting in the effort. To be fair, it might work better for someone else, but for me, it just didn’t feel worth the cost...

"The study material felt hard to follow"
I kept noticing the same pattern with these lessons: they’d start on one idea, then jump around before I really understood it. Some of the explanations were confusing too, so I ended up assuming I’d missed something and had to look things up elsewhere just to piece it together. Overall, it wasn’t very helpful for me.

"USCG paperwork help was more confusing than it should’ve been"
The course itself was fine, but the USCG application guidance kind of left me hanging. I still had to go dig around for the right forms and figure out the Sea Service details on my own, which feels like something they should’ve made clearer. For what it costs, I expected them to do a better job walking people through the actual submission process.

"Certificate took way too long"
I finished the course and expected to get my certificate quickly, but it ended up taking longer than I thought. Support did reply, but I kept getting inconsistent answers about when it would be ready, which made the whole thing feel slow and confusing. It was frustrating having to keep checking instead of getting a clear update.

"Course felt a bit thin to me"
Some of the lessons were decent, but a lot of it felt kind of outdated and basic. I can’t say I checked every single part in detail, so maybe there’s stronger stuff later on, but from what I went through, I had to search elsewhere for clearer explanations.

"A bit pricey for what I personally look for"
The course was alright overall, and I did pick up a few useful things. But for my own standards, I usually expect a little more depth when I’m paying this much. Some sections felt helpful, while others were basic and didn’t really feel worth the cost. Once the extras and fees were added in, it ended up feeling more expensive than I expected. Not a bad course, just not the best value for me personally.
